Kuala Lumpur, MY · Full-time · MYR 54,000 – MYR 84,000
About this role
Flight Dispatchers ensure safe and legal flight planning for all Company flights, including payload estimation, MEL/CDL compliance, ETOPS requirements, and consideration of operating environments. They prepare and deliver timely Crew Briefs with flight plan filings, weather reports, NOTAMs, and other pertinent information for safe operations. This role focuses on balancing safety, efficiency, and regulatory needs in aviation operations.
Day-to-day duties involve monitoring and updating Operations and Flight Following systems while maintaining continuous weather and NOTAM watch to alert crews of changes. Dispatchers escalate unexpected aircraft deviations or tracking losses and monitor ATC slot times, assessing rerouting for delays exceeding 15 minutes. They provide active input for A-CDM airport operations and delay flight plans during schedule disruptions.
In a dynamic team environment, professionals recommend aircraft allocations, assist in disruption recovery planning to maintain schedule integrity, and review take-off and landing performance limitations. The role demands comfort in complex technical environments, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and familiarity with Navtech systems. Operations occur on a 24/7 rotating shift schedule supporting global flight networks.
Dispatchers take ownership of flight-specific actions to improve safety and operational efficiency, overseeing payload planning for optimal load and balance. Opportunities arise to contribute to regulatory compliance and optimized daily planning. This position builds expertise in airline disruptions while prioritizing cost-safety balance.
