About this role

CAE seeks an Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) to oversee safe and efficient flying operations at Gondia airport. This role involves coordinating with CNS, ARFF, electrical, and other agencies to support seamless aviation activities. Your work directly contributes to preventing collisions and maintaining order in air and ground traffic.

Day-to-day responsibilities include providing traffic information to all aircraft and ground vehicles while ensuring adequate separation. Maintain detailed logs of all flights operating at the airport. Monitor serviceability of sub-systems and report any malfunctions or failures to respective departments for priority rectification.

Coordinate closely with NFTI Traffic and adjacent Air Traffic Control units for integrated operations. Conduct periodic runway inspections to uphold safety standards. Report incidents or accidents to ARFF and relevant departments, executing contingency plans for aircraft emergencies.

Requirements

  • Valid Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) license or certification
  • Proficiency in aviation phraseology and communication procedures
  • Knowledge of aircraft separation standards and collision avoidance
  • Familiarity with CNS/ATM systems and airport sub-systems
  • Experience in air-ground coordination and flight data logging
  • Ability to handle emergency procedures and incident reporting
  • Understanding of runway inspection protocols

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with CNS/ARFF/ELECTRICALS and other agencies for smooth and efficient flying operations
  • Provide traffic information to all air and ground traffic, ensure adequate separation, and prevent collisions between aircraft
  • Maintain logs of all flights operating at Gondia airport
  • Monitor serviceability status of various sub-systems and report malfunctions, degradation, or failures to respective departments for priority rectification
  • Coordinate between NFTI Traffic and adjacent Air Traffic Control units
  • Report incidents or accidents to ARFF and respective departments, and take actions per contingency plans for aircraft emergencies
  • Carry out periodic runway inspections
