About this role

FedEx Express Latin America and Caribbean Division offers employment in aviation logistics. This Dispatcher role involves completion of administrative tasks and coordination relating to front-line operation, including data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, despatch activities, and local customer service. Majority of time is spent on office-based activities.

Under general supervision, dispatch couriers for pickups and deliveries ensuring maximum efficiencies and effectiveness in service. Monitor and evaluate route loads to ensure balance of workload, flexibility of workforce, reassignments, and coverage in event of breakdowns. Organize pick-up/delivery requests according to location and reroute couriers when necessary.

Handle all customer incoming calls on pickup/delivery related matters and communicate with station personnel or customers on estimated time of arrival and concerns. Remain knowledgeable on city geography and traffic flow to provide directions as needed. Maintain Station Ops. Manager updated on workforce and service conditions, providing reliability and fleet adjustments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree/Equivalent
  • Proficiency in English (450 TOEIC points)
  • Minimum of eighteen (18) months as Courier or Service Agent within FEC
  • Knowledge of city geography and traffic flow
  • Knowledge of FEC features of service
  • Valid Drivers License and good driving record
  • Good communications skills written and verbal
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment

  • Communicate with station personnel or customers as to estimated time of arrival and other related questions or concerns
  • Remain knowledgeable on city geography and traffic flow to provide directions to customer locations as needed
  • Maintain Station Ops. Manager updated regarding pertinent workforce and service conditions and provide service reliability and fleet adjustments
