About this role

We are currently seeking a qualified Air Traffic Controller to join our small and highly motivated team at Cambridge City Airport. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in providing Tower, Radar and Approach services. Integrate a variety of military and civilian aircraft arriving, departing and overflying in Class G Airspace.

Ensure all services are provided in conformance with CAA Regulatory Standards and local Cambridge City Airport instructions including CAP documents, MATS Part 2, and the Safety Management System. Help ensure the initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations. Operate at all times within the limitations of your ATC licence and in accordance with our Just Culture Policy.

Join a small and highly motivated team handling diverse aircraft movements. Controllers operate Monday to Friday with current opening hours 0800-1800 and a mixture of shifts applied.

Requirements

Valid UK Air Traffic Controller’s license issued by the CAA with ADI rating and either APS or APP rating, validated and maintained at Cambridge
UK Class 3 medical certificate
ATCO Level 6 English language proficiency
Right to work in the UK
Additional third rating (APS/APP) desirable
Met Observers Qualification desirable
Validated ATCO Class G UK Airspace experience desirable
Additional endorsements e.g. OJTI/Assessor desirable

Responsibilities

Provide Tower, Radar and Approach services
Integrate variety of military and civilian aircraft arriving, departing and overflying Cambridge in Class G Airspace
Ensure services conform with CAA Regulatory Standards and local instructions
Maintain initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations
Operate within limitations of ATC licence
