The Licensed B1 Mechanical Inspector ensures compliance with maintenance, inspection and legislative standards as specified by EASA and the Quality and Airworthiness Manager. This night shift role operates 1900-0700 on a 4x4 pattern. Support ongoing maintenance for multiple Gulfstream aircraft lines.

We are a regional service center providing customer support globally, with R&D in the United States. Perform inspections at Luton main base and worldwide locations. Check our YouTube video to learn more about the Farnborough Service Center.

Promote fulfillment of aircraft line or base maintenance commitments within assigned timescales. Ensure all relevant documentation is completed fully before shift end. Manage manpower resources and advise on departmental difficulties for continued success.

Requirements

  • Other EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant aircraft Type Ratings
  • Certification experience within an EASA Part 145 organisation
  • Authorised to certify tasks in accordance with MOE Part 146
  • Qualified for Category ‘C’ Certification per MOE Part 34 if performing base maintenance
  • Experience supporting line or base maintenance inputs on Gulfstream aircraft
  • Knowledge of EASA legislative standards and Quality Manager requirements

Responsibilities

  • Act as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 146
  • Perform the day to day duties and responsibilities of a Licensed Mechanical Senior Inspector when requested
  • Manage the daily manpower resources consisting of licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters assigned to a specific aircraft
  • Inspect and certify tasks trained on and authorised to perform at Luton main base and worldwide locations, including Category ‘C’ Certification if qualified
  • Promote and ensure aircraft maintenance commitments are fulfilled within the assigned timescale and inform of any delays
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation relevant to work performed or supervised is completed fully before end of shift
  • Carry out handovers as required to ensure workflow
