From your first simulator session to line operations, you’ll be supported by experienced instructors, captains, and colleagues who take pride in doing things the Scandinavian way. The SAS Pilot Profile focuses on overall suitability, not only technical flying skills.

Grow into the role of a professional commercial pilot through holistic assessments of trainability, professionalism, and long-term suitability. Demonstrate professional application of knowledge, situational awareness, effective communication, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Valid EASA CPL(A), or MPL
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or 6
  • MCC course completed
  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU
  • Clean criminal record
  • Licenses and medical valid at time of application

Responsibilities

  • Take first steps into airline operations as a cadet
  • Grow into the role of a professional commercial pilot
  • Participate in simulator sessions with experienced instructors
  • Transition to line operations supported by captains
  • Apply SAS Pilot Profile competencies including situational awareness and decision making
  • Engage in continuous development and mentoring
  • Operate across bases on A320 and E195 aircraft
