Join Serco’s dynamic team at 5 Wing Goose Bay, Labrador, as Royal Canadian Air Forces’ prime service provider. Deliver comprehensive air operations, emergency services, logistics, and engineering expertise to Department of National Defence. Support NORAD operations for air power projection and military training for Canadian Armed Forces, Allies, and NORAD.

Assist in conducting unit training of Air Traffic Control personnel and ensure all assigned deliverables and reports are completed accurately and on time. Assume duties of Tower Supervisor as applicable while visibly demonstrating Serco Values and work practices. Perform other related duties relevant to the position as required.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Canadian Forces, or Transport Canada/Nav Canada, or ICAO Equivalent Air Traffic Control Visual Flight Rules Course
  • Previous Tower endorsement
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level II security clearance
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Class II Air Traffic Control Medical Certificate
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 NL Driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
  • Ability to obtain a driver's abstract

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting unit training of Air Traffic Control personnel
  • Assume duties of Tower Supervisor as applicable
  • Ensure all assigned deliverables and other reports are completed accurately and on time
  • Visibly demonstrate Serco Values and work practices while completing duties
  • Perform other related duties relevant to this position as required
  • Provide visual flight rules tower control services
  • Direct aircraft movements in the tower environment
  • Issue clearances for takeoffs and landings

Benefits

  • Hourly rate of $56.10 per hour while undergoing unit qualifications (previously held ATC license)
  • Hourly rate of $66.27 per hour once Tower qualified
  • 40 hours per week
