About this role

We are seeking B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our Heavies Engineering Team in Aberdeen. Reporting to the Chief Engineer and under the day-to-day supervision of the Aircraft Check Lead, you will perform base maintenance on various company helicopter types. This role ensures high airworthiness standards across operations.

Your day-to-day involves performing and certifying aircraft maintenance, including scheduled inspections, MODS, and defect rectification. You will oversee and certify work by unlicensed and specialist trades while issuing certifications within your scope of authorisation. Maintaining quality standards is central to daily responsibilities.

You will work within a small team environment, demonstrating excellent adaptable teamwork, attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills. An analytical approach to problem solving, combined with numerical and IT skills, supports effective collaboration. Integrity and motivation drive high standards in this close-knit setting.

Requirements

  • CAA B1.3 License
  • Relevant experience and time on helicopters
  • Excellent adaptable team worker with good work and safety ethics

Responsibilities

  • Perform and certify aircraft maintenance, including scheduled maintenance inspections, MODS, and defect rectification
  • Oversee and certify work performed by unlicensed and specialist trades
  • Maintain acceptable airworthiness and maintenance standards
  • Issue certifications within the scope of authorisation
  • Report on incidents or lapses in quality involving aircraft staff, material, plant, tools, equipment, premises, or facilities
