The Licensed B1 Mechanical Inspector ensures compliance with maintenance, inspection and legislative standards as specified by EASA and the Quality and Airworthiness Manager. Act as an inspector in support of specific aircraft line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 146. Perform day-to-day duties of a Licensed Mechanical Senior Inspector when requested. Manage manpower resources of licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters assigned to aircraft maintenance.

Certify tasks trained on and authorised to perform, including at Luton main base and worldwide locations. Promote fulfilment of aircraft maintenance commitments within assigned time scales. Ensure all relevant maintenance documentation is completed fully before shift end.

Work on a 4x4 day shift pattern from 0700-1900 supporting Gulfstream aircraft maintenance globally. Join a team providing continued customer support around the globe from R&D through delivery. Check our YouTube video to learn more about the Farnborough Service Center.

Requirements

  • Other EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License with relevant aircraft Type Ratings
  • Certification experience within an EASA Part 145 organisation
  • Trained and authorised to perform specific inspection and certification tasks
  • Qualified for Category ‘C’ Certification in accordance with MOE Part 34 for base maintenance
  • Experience acting as inspector for line or base maintenance inputs
  • Knowledge of MOE Part 146 procedures

Responsibilities

  • Act as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 146
  • Perform the day to day duties and responsibilities of a Licensed Mechanical Senior Inspector when requested
  • Manage manpower resources consisting of licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters assigned to a specific aircraft
  • Inspect and certify tasks trained on and authorised to perform at Luton main base and worldwide locations
  • Promote and ensure aircraft line or base maintenance commitments are fulfilled within assigned time scales
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation relevant to work performed or supervised is completed fully
  • Advise the Service Team Manager of any difficulties or shortcomings experienced
  • Attend Stand-up Board meetings to roll out performance communications and discussions
