About this role

Parsons is looking for an experienced ICT Lead - Aviation, ATCT to plan, coordinate, review, and technically support ICT systems passive and active networks for ATCT and associated external areas. Ensuring systems are fit for operational use, integrated with airport platforms, secure, resilient, maintainable, and compliant with requirements. Act as focal technical engineer for tower-related ICT during design, construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and early operations.

Review design documents, drawings, method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, interface matrices, and technical submissions related to ATCT ICT systems. Coordinate delivery of structured cabling, fiber backbone, LAN/WAN connectivity, network rooms, switches/servers configuration, wireless services, timing/synchronization interfaces, IP telephony, and operator work positions. Monitor integration with access control, CCTV, public address, voice communication, meteorological systems, BMS, fire alarm, and security platforms.

Participate in technical reviews ensuring compliance with client standards, aviation authority criteria, cyber-security, redundancy, maintainability, and 24/7 operational constraints. Support site inspections verifying installation quality, labeling, segregation, grounding, containment, equipment placement, and as-built records. Track risks, identify interface gaps, issue comments, and follow up corrective actions.

Contribute to ICT O&M manuals, SOPs, asset registers, preventive maintenance, spare parts lists, training plans, and handover dossiers. Coordinate with airport operator, ATC users, digital/cyber-security teams, consultants, contractors, and authorities. Prepare technical reports, progress updates, issue logs, and engineering recommendations.

Requirements

  • Expertise in structured cabling system (copper and fiber optic backbone/distribution)
  • Proficiency in local area network, switching infrastructure & configuration, network cabinets, patching, network architecture, integration, cybersecurity and physical layer management
  • Experience with ATCT data connectivity for operational systems and operator positions
  • Knowledge of IP telephony / voice and data interfaces supporting tower operations
  • Familiarity with integration of ICT systems with ATC systems, access control, CCTV, public address, meteorological systems, BMS, fire alarm, and security platforms
  • Understanding of aviation authority criteria, cyber-security requirements, redundancy philosophy, and 24/7 critical facility operations
  • Ability to review FAT, SAT, integrated systems testing, failover, and operational readiness for mission-critical ICT

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery of structured cabling systems, fiber backbone, LAN/WAN connectivity, network rooms, cabinets/racks, switches/servers configuration, network architecture, wireless services, timing/synchronization interfaces, IP telephony, and operator work position data connectivity
  • Monitor integration requirements between ICT systems and other airport/tower systems such as access control, CCTV, public address, voice communication systems, meteorological systems, BMS, fire alarm, UPS monitoring, and security platforms
  • Participate in technical reviews to ensure compliance with client standards, aviation authority criteria, cyber-security requirements, redundancy philosophy, maintainability needs, and operational constraints of a 24/7 critical facility
  • Review testing and commissioning procedures including FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, integrated systems testing, cutover plans, failover testing, redundancy verification, and operational readiness demonstrations
  • Support site inspections and verify installation quality, labeling, segregation, grounding/bonding, containment, equipment placement, and as-built records
  • Track design and construction risks, identify interface gaps, issue technical comments, and follow up corrective actions to closure
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including airport operator, ATC users, digital/cyber-security teams, consultants, contractors, and authority representatives
