The Electrical Maintenance Engineer oversees contractor performance and ensures compliance with service and preventive maintenance agreements for generators, electrical systems, ATS units, storage tanks, and related infrastructure. Day-to-day duties include performing in-depth asset reviews, analyzing oil, fuel, and coolant reports, and recommending corrective actions based on findings. Manage documentation for underground storage tanks and master meter systems. Collaborate with vendors like ENGIE, FOD Central Maintenance, FOS Zones, and OSU Design and Construction to route repair work appropriately.

This position works within Facilities Operations and Development (FOD), responsible for safe, efficient, and sustainable campus operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of generators, electrical systems, ATS units, and storage tanks maintenance
  • Experience coordinating inspections including load bank testing, vibration analysis, arc flash, and thermal imaging
  • Ability to analyze oil, fuel, and coolant reports for asset reviews
  • Familiarity with managing underground storage tanks and master meter documentation
  • Understanding of NFPA 70B and PUCO audit compliance requirements
  • Skills in advanced electrical troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate required inspections and testing including generator load bank testing, ATS testing, vibration analysis, arc flash, and thermal imaging
  • Perform in-depth asset reviews, analyze oil, fuel, and coolant reports, and recommend corrective actions based on findings
  • Manage documentation for underground storage tanks and master meter systems
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners such as ENGIE, FOD Central Maintenance, FOS Zones, and OSU Design and Construction
  • Route repair work appropriately
  • Maintain compliance with NFPA 70B and PUCO audit requirements
  • Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting as needed
